Why does the Abkhazian flounder have eyes on its forehead

Who said we are a small country? No, we are a great and mighty one, with endless resources… The inexhaustible Abkhaz part of the Black Sea, not protected and not cared for by the country’s residents, has been plundered for 25 years already, yet there are still fish to be caught, and the sea is still clean. Can you imagine how wise our science is and what a research base we have in the Black Sea basin? After all, we Abkhazians, our wisest scientific community, know everything that happens in the sea, in its depths, down to the smallest details. And that’s not all: even without any fleet at all, we of course control the sea completely, from “A” to “Z”… All the countries of the world should envy us! They have entire research institutes and flotillas there, yet they know nothing about the sea or about protecting their maritime borders… Quite another matter are the outstanding Abkhaz specialists in everything, who have surpassed all scientific justifications known to date, shamed all the works of the world’s scholars in the study of seas—especially the Black Sea—and discovered that if you don’t catch all the anchovy out of it, it will die and sink to the bottom, thereby polluting the sea! No one but our people guessed why hydrogen sulfide accumulated at a depth of two hundred meters in the Black Sea—it turns out it’s because the countries of the Black Sea basin stupidly and criminally do not catch anchovy! So that’s why we in Abkhazia have such clean seawater! The whole world needs to learn from Abkhazians how to clean the sea!.. Правда, we are suffocating here from the smell… But money doesn’t stink, and anchovy is, in the end, money.
Our administrators, who заботятся о природе so much, have found clients who buy fish for two thousand rubles per ton. Our anchovy is not expensive for them at all, but it will die if you don’t catch it all!
Did you think that was why the opposition was so patriotically agonizing over Pitsunda? They were afraid they would no longer be allowed to clean the sea like this. But no—please, go ahead, roam your native expanses! Everything is done through kinship, братство, and “law”: they bring money to the right offices, ecologists find a scientific justification, and now the people are watching Turkish seiners at work. And that Putin’s war has begun—only the fish cares, which, as we know, keeps silent.
Another proof that the current system of governing the republic is destructive. The leaders scoop out everything, despite environmental norms and all the obvious harm being done to our nature. The system must survive, because it has to feed its security, its administrative apparatus, and the entire administrative resource. That is why such bacchanalia exists in all sectors of what is supposedly the people’s economy. Just to survive and earn money—and after us, let there be a flood!
We are simply brazenly robbing our nature, inventing all sorts of motives—about allegedly replenishing the budget, about allegedly caring for pensioners and providing social security for citizens… Who still doesn’t understand what this management system is and where we are all moving together, toward what “better tomorrow”? Probably our opposition knows this for sure—the same opposition that is a copy of the authorities, only worse…
The current political system of our country serves as the basis for building a new state in its complete, but horrifying splendor. Thirty years of work by all government bodies—from the милиция to the Chekists—under the management of their best pupils, has brought Abkhazia to the point where people begin asking questions: what goal did the national liberation movement pursue at all, and why did its best sons and daughters give thousands of lives? For what future and what freedom?
What can we even talk about if the land of our ancestors is being sold off, and the country is being settled by foreigners who have nothing to do with the Abkhaz ethnos?! How many more Abkhazians have we become in thirty years, how many of our muhajirs have we brought back home? What should we call our country now? And on what principles should we raise the youth—on the principle “lie, betray, get rich, live without shame or conscience, sell your land for enrichment”?!
Or maybe we didn’t fight for Apsny at all?—after all, they stamp ready-made medals for us in Moscow! So let’s say it прямо: we fought for Russia in Transcaucasia! Otherwise we pretend to be some independent republic, while allowing various мошенники to use us… Let’s say it прямо—then everything will fall into place and it will become clear why the Russian Federation maintains the authorities in Abkhazia, why it pays pensions, pretending that it is lifting Abkhazia up, protecting us from Georgia and everything else in the frighteningly hostile world…
Around us are Russian border guards; they let no one in and no one out; they guard us very carefully, afraid we will be spoiled by seeing another world. And what? Everything is correct, everything is as it should be... If you don’t believe it, ask Ankvab: he knows better why… After all, if you don’t catch fish in мутная вода, it will die, poor thing. Would our scientists lie to us?!
Now it’s clear why Abkhaz flounder have eyes that have popped out onto their forehead?
