The Special Investigation Service has started an investigation into the incidents of the use of excessive force by the law enforcement officers against the participants of the rally.

"On May 13, 2024, the Special Investigation Service has started an investigation into the use of excessive force by the law enforcement officers against the participants of the rally with the signs of the crime provided for by subsection "b" of the third part of Article 333 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The Service will make an appropriate legal response to all criminal episodes of use of excessive force.

Information about the progress and results of the investigation will be provided to the public," reads the statement released by the Special Investigation Service .
