Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has said that the presidential administration cannot reach Interior Minister or his deputy.

“I would like to ask him and call on him that the reaction of the police be more prompt and more effective, because we should not allow such tensions in our polling stations,” she said.

She called on the citizens to be more active:

"Very high activity, this is a good sign. It needs to continue."

The parliamentary elections in Georgia are uderway.

These are the first proportional elections, with a 5% threshold that parties must pass to fill 150 seats of the Parliament.
