In the British Parliament, Labour MP Blair McDougall has called for the government to consider opening an investigation by the National Crime Agency ( NCA) into the UK-based company that owns Georgian TV station Imedi.

"Given the widespread revulsion of the violent crackdown on the peaceful protesters in Georgia, I wonder if she might make time for a debate on this and in that debate we might be able to discuss the fact that Imedi TV, the main propaganda arm of that brutal government operates and is directed from the UK through a company called Hunnewell Partners?", Blair McDougall said.

"I wonder whether she might agree that in that debate we could discuss whether it's time for an NCA investigation into these operations from this country and for the direction of pro-Russian propaganda and the incitement to violence against those peaceful protesters", - he added.
