Victor Kipiani, Chairman of the think tank Geocase, has addressed a letter to the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and the Chairman of the Helsinki Commission, Senator Roger Wicker.

In his letter, Kipiani underscores a critical importance of the US-Georgia strategic partnership amid growing geopolitical challenges. He expresses gratitude to the United States for its continued support of Georgia’s national interests and highlights the long-standing cooperation between two nations. He also emphasizes Georgia’s role as the steadfast US ally and its contributions to global security alongside American partners.

Kipiani stresses that stability in the Black Sea region is directly connectedwith the US strategic interests, particularly in a context of newly emerged threats by various actors. He urges the United States to take more proactive and effective measures towards Georgia and the wider Black Sea region.

The letter also speaks of key areas of mutual interests between the United States and Georgia, including security and economic considerations. Kipiani points out to pragmatic partnership that can help in redefining mutual expectations and advancing a common agenda, especially in these times where “real interest” and “alignment of interests” are becoming driving factors in international relations.

“Given today’s geopolitical realities and challenges Georgia is facing, US-Georgian relations bear a truly exceptional meaning”, - said Victor Kipiani. “Our goal is to realize a full capacity of this partnership in a way that benefits both Georgia and the United States. To this end, Geocase actively engages with representatives both at the US executive and legislative levels through various communication venues.”
