
U.S. Embassy issues statement regarding meeting between Toehlke and Maka Botchorishvili

The U.S. Embassy in Georgia has issued a statement regarding the meeting between Senior Advisor Toehlke and "Georgian dreams" Minister Maka Botchorishvili.
The U.S. Embassy notes that the meeting was held to discuss U.S.-Georgia relations.
“Ambassador Dunnigan and Senior Advisor Toehlke met with Foreign Minister Botchorishvili today to discuss the U.S.-Georgia relationship. The United States continues to review its approach to Georgia to advance American interests. The United States has made clear the steps Georgia’s government can take to demonstrate it is serious about improving its relationship with the United States”, reads the statement.
The meeting focused on relations between the United States of America and Georgia, prospects for cooperation, and processes ongoing in the region. It was noted that Georgia is an important partner of the US., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reports.
“The Foreign Minister once again emphad the Georgian side’s readiness to renew the strategic partnership with the United States of America.
The parties discussed security challenges in the region and the world. Georgia’s important role in ensuring peace and stability in the region was emphad,” reads the statement.
