According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, yesterday, in the village of Kheltubani, Gori Municipality, several citizens attacked police officers while they were on duty.
According to the agency, the law enforcement officers received various types of injuries, three police officers were stabbed.
According to them, at this stage, all three police officers were taken to the hospital, where they received appropriate medical assistance.
“On July 15 of this year, in the village of Kheltubani, Gori Municipality, several citizens attacked employees of the Shida Kartli Police Department while they were on duty.
As a result of the incident, law enforcement officers received various types of injuries. Three police officers were stabbed. All three of them were taken to the hospital, where they received appropriate medical assistance.
Prior to the attack, law enforcement officers stopped one of the vehicles while on duty for inspection. It turned out that the vehicle was being driven by a minor, S.S., born in 2009, who did not have a driver’s license. S.S. resisted law enforcement officers. The minor’s father and their relatives also got involved in the confrontation, during which S.S. and his accompanying persons caused injuries to the law enforcement officers.
Law enforcement officers arrested G.S., born in 1979, S.S., born in 2009, S.S., born in 1989, V.S., born in 1961, and M.A., born in 1989, on charges of a group attack on a police officer.
The incident is being investigated under Part 2 of Article 353 of the Criminal Code.
