According to Transparency International Georgia, some of the current and former members of the Georgian Dream, officials and businesses close to the party are buying real estate in EU countries, establishing companies and obtaining EU citizenship for their children.

“While Georgia is on the verge of losing visa liberalization with the European Union due to the authoritarian policies of the Georgian Dream, current and former members and officials of the party themselves are buying real estate in Europe, establishing companies, and obtaining EU citizenship for their children.

This fact is easily seen from publicly available sources. Transparency International Georgia has found information about 17 individuals (current and former members of the Georgian Dream, officials, and businessmen close to the party) who own companies or real estate in the following EU countries: France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain, Denmark, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, and Cyprus.

Note: The information listed is only a small part of the property and companies that party members actually own in various European countries, traceable through public sources”, reads the information.
