The president of the Georgian-American Business Association (GABA), Georgian-born Ketevan Gold, will lead the youth wing of the Brooklyn Republican Party.
The decision was made on September 25 at the Republican Party convention held in New York.
Speaking to Accent, Ketevan Gold said that the trust placed in her by the Republican Party is both deeply meaningful and highly responsible.
According to her, the main goal is to inform young people about the party’s values, strengthen civic engagement, and provide an example of responsible citizenship.
“This appointment is not just a professional challenge for me. It is a mission, and I will spare no effort to fulfill it. My aim is to introduce young people to the values of the Republican Party, to share experiences and opportunities with them, and to support their civic involvement so they can take part in social processes. We must not forget that they are our future, and their engagement lays the foundation for a strong and active citizenry. By involving them in political life, I want to show them that their voice truly creates real power,” Gold told Accent.
She added that she is already working on a number of projects that include forums, training programs, and a series of meetings. The events will combine educational and practical components designed to give young people both knowledge and hands-on experience.
Gold also stressed that her appointment is “doubly significant, because it highlights that Georgians are not only capable of participating actively in American political and social life, but also of taking on leadership responsibilities, becoming drivers of innovation and positive change, and upholding the values that ensure freedom and a stronger future.”
