Germany opposes the use of terms and comparisons related to Nazi Germany, which are historically, politically, and morally incorrect.

This is how Peter Fischer, the German Ambassador to Georgia, responded to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement, in which he criticized the statement issued by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) regarding the events of October 4 and stated that “Europe is not a panacea! Europe had Goebbels as its master, who operated in the strongest state in Europe in the 1940s - it is unacceptable for Goebbels-style propaganda to return to Europe 80 years after the 1940s.”

“I repeat what I have said here before: Germany objects to use of terms and comparisons related to Nazi-Germany that are historically, politically and morally wrong because they demean the victims and raise false implications,” Fischer writes.
