The Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained another 12 individuals in the ongoing investigation related to the events in Tbilisi on October 4

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained another 12 individuals in connection with the events that unfolded in Tbilisi on October 4. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Darakhvelidze during a briefing.

According to the investigation, the detained individuals, together with the rally organizers, destroyed the fence of the President's Palace on Atoneli Street and attempted to break into the palace.

According to the Deputy Minister, a total of 35 individuals have been detained, including both organizers and participants who “committed illegal and violent acts.”

"The Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is actively continuing the investigation into the criminal events that occurred in the city of Tbilisi on October 4 of this year.

The evidence obtained during the investigation establishes that the detained individuals, together with the rally organizers, destroyed the fence of the President's Palace located on Atoneli Street on October 4 and attempted to break into the palace.

In the course of the ongoing investigation, a total of 35 individuals have been detained to date, including rally organizers as well as participants who committed illegal and violent acts.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue to conduct appropriate investigative actions to identify other perpetrators of the crime and bring them to criminal liability.

The investigation into the incident is being conducted under Articles 187, 222, 225, and 317 of the Criminal Code of Georgia," reads the information disseminated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
