Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has said that the government of Georgia will postpone the Anaklia Development Consortium’s obligations.

As he said in an interview TV Imedi, this issue will be discussed at the nearest government session.

“Anaklia Deep Sea Port has a special significance for us. Of course, during my visit to the United States I had meetings regarding this issue. In Seattle I met with the leadership of the American company SSA Marine, which is the participant of the Anaklia Development Consortium.  Of course, we are interested in the fact that the most powerful American companies with this profile were presented in this project. This project has our full support. Everyone should be sure that the realization of this project is defined by each step, which brings concrete results. We have taken obligations as the government and we fulfill these obligations. We spare no afford to help the Anaklia Development Consortium in fulfilling their obligations in order to be finally implemented this very important project. We will support this issue and at the same time I would like to repeat that each of us and of course, the Anaklia Development Consortium members should be oriented on a particular result,” Bakhtadze said.
