Georgia's Ministry of Justice has offered former President Mikheil Saakashvili to be transferred to Gori Military Hospital.

As Justice Minister Rati Bregadze said, "Saakashvili's health and safety will be protected in this hospital".

He said the military hospital is well-equipped to treat the ex-President, but the transfer requires Saakashvili’s consent.

The ex-President has not yet responded to the offer.
