Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline will increase exports and it will be even more loaded; Also, we want to use the Baku-Supsa terminal for export, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, said at the joint briefing after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia.

As Aliyev noted, Azerbaijan plans to export almost 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe by 2027.

In addition, Aliyev spoke about the investments made in Georgia and noted that Azerbaijan has invested 3 billion dollars in Georgia.

"Regarding the bilateral agreement and format, we are happy that the trade turnover is increasing. In the last 9 months, we have exceeded 1 billion dollars in trade turnover, and Azerbaijan has invested significant amounts in Georgia. Investments foster cooperation. Azerbaijan has invested 3 billion dollars in Georgia, and we believe that these will be mutually beneficial investments. Of course, we talked about the future energy policy, we exchanged opinions about the projects we have implemented. Operationally, these projects are very successful and we look forward to launching new projects to increase natural gas exports to international markets. We are going to export 22 million cubic tons and increase this volume in the coming years. This year we signed a memorandum between Azerbaijan and the European Commission, and within the next 5 years Azerbaijan plans to double its natural gas exports to Europe. We have the opportunity to do so and we intend to export almost 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe by 2027. Naturally, we discussed this issue with the Prime Minister of Georgia. There will also be new issues to discuss. Meanwhile, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline will increase exports and the pipeline will be more loaded. Also, we want to use the Baku-Supsa terminal", said Aliyev.
