Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the Hungarian National Assembly Speaker Laszlo Kover within the framework of his official visit to Hungary.

The conversation touched on the prospects of deepening friendly relations between the countries, partnership cooperation, including inter-parliamentary relations.

Hungary’s clear position regarding Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration process was emphasized, especially when the European Council decided to give Georgia a European perspective.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked Laszlo Kover for his strong support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as for the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

The situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine were discussed at the meeting.
