Starting June 2023, the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will begin operating direct and regular flights from Kutaisi International Airport to five European cities of Brussels, Madrid, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Poznan.

United Airports of Georgia successfully completed negotiations and signed an agreement with the strategic partner to operate regular flights by a third-party aircraft to all five destinations twice a week.

Tamar Archuadze, Director of United Airports of Georgia, stated that Georgian travellers would be able to fly to five destinations in four European countries. “This will also bring more tourists to Georgia,” she remarked.

Wizz Air served up to 550 thousand passengers in the last 11 months of 2022. Beginning in 2023, the airline will fly to 27 destinations in Europe and the Near East.
