
Zurab Azarashvili Meets with Delegation of Ichilov Medical Center

Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Zurab Azarashvili has met with representatives of Ichilov Medical Center of Israel with regard to establishment of State Children’s Oncology Hospital in Georgia.
The delegation of Ichilov Center represents working group on construction and setting of pediatric oncology hospitals worldwide with 10 years of experience.
The members of the delegation presented detailed information on functioning, settings of the Medical Center and tactics of treatment to the representatives of the Ministry of Health.
The established practices of hematology-oncology services were discussed as well.
As noted by the Minister of Health, Zurab Azarashvili during the meeting, sharing of experience of Ichiliov Center and future cooperation are very important for Georgian side.
Rector of Kutaisi International University was presented at the meeting together with the representatives of the Ministry of Health of Georgia. The rector presented Strategic Development Plan of the University to the members of the delegation.
The aspects of proton therapy clinic and hadron therapy center, where scientific research projects will be implemented were discussed.
Besides, the members of the delegation will get familiarized with infrastructural, cinical and educational resources existing in the country.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Tamar Gabunia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the State of Israel, Lasha Zhvania, Head of Solidarity Fund, Eka Pestvenidze, Head of State Referral Program, Khatuna Chachava, Project Director of Cartu Fund, Vakhtang Tsagareli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the state of Israel to Georgia, Hadas Ester Meitzad, and other members of the Delegation.
