Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Thursday that Georgia is really a neutral and impartial mediator in relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"The region must be transformed into an opportunity for peace and prosperity," said Garibashvili at a discussion "how the Middle Corridor of Eurasia has turned from a path to a highway” held within the framework of the World Economic Forum 2023 in Davos.

"It is indeed in our interests to hold a trilateral meeting, because this region belongs to us - Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, and we can transform this region into regional opportunities, opportunities for peace and prosperity. During the Cold War and the Soviet Union, there was the phrase “Trust but verify”. this trust is relevant, but a new phrase has been added, "don't trust, but cooperate," PM Garibashvili said.
