The US congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Alex Mooney have visited the carbamide terminal, which is under construction at the Batumi port.  

The terminal project is being implemented by direct U.S. investment. 

The US congressmen were informed about the potential of the Batumi port. They emphasized the importance of American investment and the terminal. 

“American investment is important for the U.S. - Georgia cooperation. I see how we can enhance multilateral relations, whether it be national security or economic security. This will create jobs, it will promote economic growth. I first came here seven years ago and now I see how this area has changed since then. I am proud of what has been done here. I am proud of the importance of America's role in Georgia's future success,” Adam Kinzinger said. 

Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze spoke about the importance of this project for the region:

“Together with the US Congressmen we have visited the Batumi port and the new terminal, which is being constructed through direct U.S. investment. It will bring even more new opportunities not only to Adjara but to whole Georgia.”

U.S. Corporation Trammo along with Wondernet Express Investment Group will invest $ 20 million in construction of this terminal.

The US congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Alex Mooney visited Georgia in the framework of the 13th Georgia Defence and Security Conference (GDSC).
