The European Parliament, with its shameful resolution, directly admitted that Saakashvili is their agent, and they will do everything to save their agent and free him from prison. This will not happen, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated.

According to the Head of Government, Saakashvili has committed many grievous crimes, including involvement in the case of Girgvliani’s murder, the fact of physical assault against Valeri Gelashvili, the appropriation of Imedi TV, charges of corruption, illegal border crossing. But the Government will not break the law and the Constitution, and this is what they are telling international partners as well.

“A few days ago, I made a statement, and I said that the European Parliament, with its shameful resolution, directly admitted that Saakashvili is their agent, and they will do everything to save their agent and free him from prison. This will not happen. We told them and many of our partners that Saakashvili has committed many grievous crimes, such as the murder of Girgvliani and involvement in this case, the fact of physical assault against Valeri Gelashvili. The former MP was beaten nearly to death; also, the appropriation of Imedi TV, charges of corruption, and now this man also added illegal entry into the country, illegal border crossing. After all this, we have no legal solution or desire to break one law or another. We will not break the law; we will not violate the Constitution. Today, Saakashvili is an inmate. I do not want to talk much about an inmate, and I have even made a point of not talking about Saakashvili. One thing I want to say, though, is that those who kept an eye on his unruly campaign throughout the world… this man hired lobbying companies. Officially, he has paid a million USD in America alone, and this is what is registered using the same law, FARA, the law we were supposed to adopt. And this very law enabled us to find out that Saakashvili, through his mother, had contracted and paid a million USD for lobbying,” the Prime Minister said.
