U.S. support is strengthening Georgia’s capability to monitor its coastline and territorial waters, according to the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.

"Ambassador Dunnigan appreciated her visit to Georgia's Coast Guard in Batumi, where she saw the positive impact of our strategic partnership. She heard how U.S. investments are increasing Georgia’s ability to monitor maritime traffic in the Eastern Black Sea.

At the Joint Maritime Operations Center – established in 2013 with large support from the U.S. – Ambassador Dunnigan heard about the impressive efforts of multiple Georgian agencies working together to share information and increase the maritime security of Georgia. The Ambassador loved the visit and hopes to be back soon!", the Embassy said.
