According to the so-called minister of foreign affairs of occupied Abkhazia there are no plans to open a Russian naval base in Ochamchire. About this, the so-called minister of foreign affairs of the occupied region Sergey Shamba said in an interview with the Russian state publication "Ria Novosti".

"As for Ochamchire port, there is no talk of opening a military-naval base there," said Shamba.

According to him, there is multi-planned "interstate" cooperation between the occupied Apkhezet and Russia, and one of the most important parts of it is cooperation in the field of security.

For information, the so-called president of occupied Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania announced that a permanent deployment point of Russian naval forces will be opened in Ochamchire Bay and the relevant agreement has already been signed.
