The US Helsinki Commission has called on the US State Department to “crack down” on the call centers “that sponsor Georgian Dream’s antidemocratic campaign against the Georgian people.”

According to the Helsinki Commission, Georgia’s ruling Georgian Dream party “relies on dark money from a network of scam call centers around the world to fund its operations and harass its opposition.”

"This is the highest peak of cynicism. A small country like ours is doing everything for transparency and the extremely principled fight related to 'call centers'. You probably remember well our active efforts, the crimes and criminals exposed together with the German prosecutor's office; the BBC film prepared on Kezerashvili [David Kezerashvili]. The BBC is not 'TV Pirveli', 'Mtavari Arkhi' or 'Formula'. It is a media platform with the highest credibility. The investigative journalists, and it should be emphasized, together with German prosecutors, conducted this investigation in parallel and directly pointed at him, calling him Mr. 'Offshore'. [...] I don't know what tasks and goals the Helsinki Group has when it circulates such blatant lies. I refrain from referring to their actions more harshly. [...] The goal is one and clear: to somehow blame Georgia, to change the peace-keeping government and bring into power a horde of errand boys and girls who will carry out any order commanded from outside," stated Beka Odisharia, a member of parliament from the Georgian Dream party.

Another member of the ruling party, MP Givi Mikanadze, assesses the statement of the Helsinki Commission as a "gross interference in the pre-election process."

"To sum up the Helsinki Commission's conclusion in one word, it's a very gross interference in the pre-election process. It made a statement, for which they presented no evidence. Consequently, this cannot be accepted because the statement is made, it can be said directly, in support of opposition parties. We expect from them to present these specific pieces of evidence, although of course, what doesn't exist in nature cannot be presented," Mikanadze stated.
