The Georgian Young Lawyers' Association (GYLA) has said that their employee/observer Giorgi Gotsiridze was attacked and physically assaulted by a member of the commission at the 4th precinct of Marneuli.

Accordin to the GYLA, Giorgi Gotsiridze waa also physically assaulted outside the precinct by an unknown person.

"We call on the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia to immediately respond to the incident," the GYLA said.

The parliamentary elections in Georgia are uderway.

These are the first proportional elections, with a 5% threshold that parties must pass to fill 150 seats of the Parliament.
