The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announces preliminary results.

According to the CEC 70% of the total voters have been counted.

CEC's preliminary results:

• Georgian Dream – 52.97% .
• Coalition for Change – 11.208%.
• Unity-UNM – 9,797 %.
• Strong Georgia –9,836%.
• Gakharia – For Georgia – 8.233%.

Others failed to pass the 5% threshold.

2, 060, 412 people, representing 58,94% of the total number of registered voters, voted in the parliamentary elections across Georgia at 8 p.m, according to the CEC.

These are the first proportional elections, with a 5% threshold that parties must pass to fill 150 seats of the Parliament.
