US Embassy in Georgia – We are optimistic that meeting of investors, Consortium and Georgian government will help advance Anaklia Deep Sea project

The United States Embassy in Georgia said on Friday that the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project is very important for Georgia’s economic growth, and the involvement of U.S. companies is part of the strong economic partnership between our countries.

‘We are optimistic that the upcoming meeting of the international financial institutions, the Anaklia Development Consortium, and the Georgian government will help advance the project further,’ the Embassy told the Accent.

The meeting of the international financial institutions, the Anaklia Development Consortium and the Georgian government regarding the Anaklia port project is scheduled for May 21. According to reports, representatives of the international financial institutions - EBRD, OPIC, ADB and AIIB will take part in this meeting.
