Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze hosted the new Armenian Ambassador to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan, at the ministry on Monday.

“At the introductory meeting, the pair covered the good neighbourly and friendly relations between Georgia and Armenia. The parties noted Georgia’s supporting a balanced policy, promoting stability in the region,” said the ministry’s press office.

Current issues and plans of bilateral cooperation between the countries were also in focus, reads the press statement.
