The Head of the European Union Delegation to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski has said that he bloc is seriously considering the issue of the "Middle Corridor".

The Middle Corridor begins in Turkey and passes through the Caucasus region via Georgia and Azerbaijan, crosses the Caspian Sea, traverses Central Asia and reaches China.

"The "Middle Corridor", which passes through Georgia, is something that we take extremely seriously, and especially now, in the context of Russia's brutal war against Ukraine. There is a huge potential to use the South Caucasus as an alternative when it comes to moving various goods from Asia, Central Asia through the South Caucasus to Europe. We are working very closely with our Georgian partners to renew the infrastructure, we have an economic and investment plan," the ambassador said.
