Stepan Grigoryan – Georgian PM's visit to Armenia is very positive nowdays

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with his Armenian counterpart, Nikol Pashinyan as part of his working visit to Armenia on January 12 to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional issues.

The Chairman of the Board of the Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC) in Armenia, Stepan Grigoryan told the Accent that "the visit of Prime Minister of Georgia is very positive nowdays."

"A lot of bilateral agreements were signed between Georgia and Armenia. In current circumstances in the world the current cooperation is a vivid example of sucess in current turbnulent times," he said.

PM Garibashvili reiterated “readiness to mediate between the neighboring countries [Azerbaijan and Armenia] to ensure peace and stability in the region.”

"Also I welcome Georgia's statement on readiness to be a mediator in Armenia Azerbaijan dialogue. Georgia can be a platform for armenia Azerbaijan dialogue. Because without solving Armenia Azerbaijan problems the South Caucasus will not be stable." Grigoryan told the Accent.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have signed the agreement on further simplification of visa-free travel between Georgia and Armenia.

Garibashvili - Regional peace initiatives and other bilateral programs were discussed at a meeting with Pashinyan

Pashinyan: I am sure that the agreements reached within the framework of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission of the two countries will add new content to the Armenian-Georgian relations
