Turkish political analyst Nalan Yazgan has said that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili's visit to Turkey is a great example of neighborly relations between the two countries.

"Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan due to the recent deadly earthquakes that affected 10 cities in southern Turkey. It is the largest national disaster of the past 100 years, which affected more than 13.5 million people. President Erdoğan welcomed Garibashvili at the entrance gate of the Presidential Complex. The meeting, which was closed to press, lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. Turkey is one of the first countries to recognize Georgia's independence and the relations between the two countries date back a long time. Turkey appreciates the dispatch of the Georgian search and rescue team and dispatch of aid materials from Georgia. We are deeply moved and truly grateful for this generous aid in our time of need. The solidarity among Turkey and Georgia is a great example of neighborly relations," she told the Accent.

The official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Republic of Turkey began on February 23.
