Zviad Tsetskhladze is being accused of allegedly calling on someone to do something and engaging in certain verbal actions.

However, the case contains a 14-minute video that has no sound, lawyer Elguja Avsajanishvili told journalists. Tsetskhladze is charged with organizing and participating in group violence during the protests.

According to the lawyer, such a video cannot be considered valid evidence in the case.

"At first, the prosecution tried to present a video with sound using their own laptop. I formally objected, noting that the defense had only been provided a soundless version and requested the original video be played. The prosecutor claimed I was lying and that the video did, in fact, have audio. I pointed out that the only party falsifying evidence in this case was the prosecution itself. I then demanded that the original video be played.

Zviad Tsetskhladze is being accused, based on this 14-minute video, of allegedly saying something and thus committing a crime. But the prosecution’s video, which supposedly contains incriminating verbal content, has no sound.

Therefore, based on visuals alone, this part of the accusation cannot be proven against Zviad Tsetskhladze for the simple reason that nothing can be heard in the video. This was confirmed by a witness who testified that there was no audio in the video, despite having previously reviewed it and stating there was sound. The fact remains — there is no sound in the video," said Elguja Avsajanishvili.

For context, Zviad Tsetskhladze, along with Vepkhia Kasradze and Vasil Kadzelashvili, is accused of organizing and leading group violence. They face potential prison sentences ranging from 6 to 9 years. During today’s hearing, the prosecution presented its evidence, including one witness — investigator Levan Basiladze — who reviewed the seized video footage.
